VEHARI: The district administration has officially declared Friday, July 11 as a public holiday across Vehari in observance of the annual Urs celebrations of Baba Haji Sher Diwan, a revered Sufi saint known for his spiritual contributions and widespread following.
According to an official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer, all government offices in the district will remain closed for the day. However, the notification clarified that ongoing examinations conducted by educational boards and universities will proceed as scheduled, and the holiday will not affect them.
