Punjab to Adopt Japan’s Advanced Healthcare System

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to introduce Japan’s cutting-edge healthcare and treatment management system in the province.

During her visit to Japan, Maryam Nawaz toured the National Center for Global Health, a leading hospital specializing in infectious disease treatment. The delegation received detailed briefings on advanced medical practices, including diabetes, liver diseases, and infectious illnesses.

Under the new initiative, high-tech Japanese medical equipment and modern treatment methods will be integrated into Punjab’s public healthcare system. The government also plans to develop the Nawaz Sharif Medical District following Japan’s health model.

In addition, a health insurance scheme inspired by Japan’s system will be launched, and Punjab will benefit from Japanese research in treating diabetes, liver conditions, and infectious diseases.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of modernizing healthcare, saying the visit provided valuable insights into advanced liver treatments and infectious disease management that can be implemented in Punjab’s hospitals.
