Chicago, IL – Jameson Taillon made a strong comeback from a calf injury, pitching six solid innings as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-1 on Tuesday night, completing a sweep of their split doubleheader.

Key Performances:

  • Michael Busch drove in two runs to lead Chicago, while Ian Happ had two hits and Owen Caissie added a crucial RBI single.

  • Andrew Vaughn’s first-inning RBI single accounted for Milwaukee’s only run in the second game.

The Cubs (72-54) now sit just seven games behind the NL Central-leading Brewers (79-47), improving to 4-2 on an eight-game homestand.
