PHF Clears All Pending Payments for Hockey Players and Officials

In a major boost for Pakistan hockey, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has officially cleared all pending dues of players and officials across all national teams — including the senior, junior, and under-18 squads.

PHF Resolves Longstanding Financial Issue

The move marks the end of a prolonged financial concern that had affected the morale of players and drawn widespread criticism from within the sporting community. Many athletes had reportedly considered boycotting national training camps due to unpaid allowances.

PHF President Tariq Bugti confirmed that the issue has been fully resolved. He stated that all pending daily allowances and other payments have now been processed, adding that special priority was given to the junior team preparing for the upcoming Sultan Johor Cup in Malaysia.

“We wanted to make sure our players can focus on the game without financial stress. Clearing their dues was a top priority,” Bugti said.

Payments Processed Through HBL

According to the federation, the payments were processed through Habib Bank Limited (HBL). Players with HBL accounts have already received their funds, while those using other banks may experience brief delays due to standard inter-bank transfer procedures.

Boosting Morale Before Busy International Schedule

This development comes at a crucial time as the PHF looks to restore trust and stability within the organization. After years of administrative challenges and financial uncertainty, the federation’s move has been welcomed as a positive step toward professionalizing hockey operations in Pakistan.

With major events such as the Sultan Johor Cup and the FIH Pro League on the horizon, the timely payments are expected to uplift player morale and motivation ahead of a demanding international season.

Pakistan’s Junior Team Ready for Malaysia Tour

The Pakistan junior hockey team is currently in training camp for the Sultan Johor Cup, where they will compete against top teams from Asia and Europe in one of the most prestigious youth hockey tournaments in the world.

This financial settlement not only supports players but also reinforces the PHF’s commitment to building a more transparent and athlete-friendly sporting culture in Pakistan.
