Pakistani Runners Deliver Strong Performances at Boston Marathon 2026
Pakistani runners delivered an impressive collective performance at the Boston Marathon 2026, with 13 athletes from Pakistan and the overseas community successfully completing one of the world’s most prestigious races.
Muhammad Amjad leads Pakistani runners
Karachi’s Muhammad Amjad emerged as the top performer among Pakistani participants, finishing the race in 2 hours, 42 minutes, and 45 seconds. His timing made him the fastest Pakistani runner at this year’s event.
Amjad expressed satisfaction with his performance, highlighting the challenging course that included both uphill and downhill sections.
Strong performances across the board
USA-based Syed Hamza secured the second-fastest time among Pakistani runners, finishing in 2:51:06, followed by Nizar Nayani, who completed the race in 3:01:44.
Norway-based Muhammad Fasih Saleh recorded a personal best and achieved the prestigious Six Star Finisher milestone in the Abbott World Marathon Majors.
Six Star milestones and notable efforts
Several Pakistani runners achieved the Six Star Finisher status, reflecting long-term consistency across major global marathons.
Islamabad’s Bilal Ehsan completed the race despite a knee injury, focusing on finishing strong and earning his Six Star medal.
Karachi-based Nosherwan Ali finished in 4:15:33, also securing his Six Star achievement, while Dr Jehanzeb Mughal completed the race in 5:01:39.
Other runners, including Aamer Butt, Dr Salman Khan, and Jamal Khan, delivered solid performances, with some achieving personal best times.
