Karachi Kings Defeat Lahore Qalandars in High-Scoring Pakistan Super League Season 11 Clash

Karachi Kings kept their playoff hopes alive with an impressive five-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars in a thrilling encounter during PSL 11 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing a challenging 200-run target, Karachi Kings successfully reached the total with eight balls remaining. Captain David Warner led from the front with an unbeaten half-century, while Khushdil Shah delivered a match-winning late performance.

Karachi’s innings began with an early setback as Jason Roy was dismissed cheaply. Warner then stabilized the chase, building small partnerships with Reeza Hendricks and Salman Ali Agha.

Momentum shifted when Warner partnered with Moeen Ali, adding a quick 58-run stand. Moeen played a rapid knock before being dismissed, bringing further tension to the chase.

The game turned decisively when Khushdil Shah arrived at the crease. Batting aggressively, he changed the course of the match with powerful hitting. A key moment came when he scored heavily in the 18th over against Shaheen Shah Afridi, followed by consecutive sixes off Haris Rauf to seal the win.

Khushdil remained unbeaten with a quick-fire 44, while Warner anchored the innings with a composed 63 not out.

For Lahore, Ubaid Shah was the most effective bowler, taking three wickets, while Daniel Sams and Haris Rauf picked up one each.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars posted 199/6 after being asked to bat first. Despite an early run-out, a strong partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique helped build a solid total.

Fakhar scored a well-made 61, while Shafique led the innings with 62 runs. Contributions from Daniel Sams, Sikandar Raza, and Shaheen Afridi pushed the score close to 200.

For Karachi, Moeen Ali was the standout bowler, claiming two wickets, while Hasan Ali and debutant Rizwanullah added one wicket each.

The match proved to be an exciting contest, with Karachi Kings delivering a strong finish to secure a crucial win in the tournament.
