Trump Unveils Upgraded Boeing 747 Set to Join Air Force One Fleet
US President Donald Trump has unveiled an upgraded Boeing 747 aircraft that is expected to join the Air Force One fleet after undergoing extensive refurbishment and testing.
The aircraft, which was provided by Qatar, has been modernized with updated systems and a new exterior design featuring red, white, blue, and gold colors. The plane was presented at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
According to officials, the aircraft has received a range of modifications, including enhanced communications systems and security features designed to meet presidential transportation requirements.
The upgraded jet is expected to serve as an interim presidential aircraft while Boeing continues work on the next-generation Air Force One program. The new aircraft under development are scheduled for delivery at a later date.
US Air Force officials stated that safety and security standards remained a top priority throughout the refurbishment process. The aircraft underwent testing and evaluation before being prepared for presidential service.
The unveiling also highlighted a new color scheme that differs from the traditional Air Force One design used for decades. Similar design elements are expected to be applied to other government aircraft used by senior US officials.
