Nelly Korda Chases Third Consecutive Major Title at KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship returns this week at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, with world No. 1 Nelly Korda aiming to win her third consecutive major championship.

The prestigious tournament features a record prize fund of $13 million, making it one of the most significant events in women’s golf. The winner will receive a share of $1.95 million.

Korda enters the championship in outstanding form and currently leads the Race to the CME Globe standings. A victory at Hazeltine would place her among a select group of golfers who have won three straight major titles in a single season.

Defending champion Minjee Lee returns looking to successfully defend the title she captured last year. The Australian secured a memorable victory at Fields Ranch East in Texas, earning her third career major championship.

Hazeltine National Golf Club is no stranger to major golf events and has hosted several high-profile tournaments over the years. The challenging course is expected to test the world’s best players throughout the four-day competition.

The championship field includes many of the top-ranked golfers on the LPGA Tour, along with several teaching and club professionals who earned spots through qualification.

Last week, Japan’s Miyu Yamashita claimed victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic, adding further excitement ahead of one of the biggest events on the women’s golf calendar.

Following the Women’s PGA Championship, the LPGA Tour will take a short break before returning for the Amundi Evian Championship in France, another major tournament scheduled for July.

With elite players competing for one of the sport’s most prestigious titles, fans can expect an exciting week of golf as Korda pursues another historic achievement.
