Rawalpindi Police Intensify Action Against Kite Flying and Aerial Firing

Police in Rawalpindi have launched a citywide operation against kite flying, kite-related activities and aerial firing, with authorities also monitoring online activity and repeat offenders.

Rawalpindi Police have stepped up enforcement against kite flying and aerial firing as part of efforts to improve public safety.

The operation includes monitoring the supply and sale of kites and related equipment. Police will also keep an eye on online activity and take action against individuals who repeatedly violate restrictions.

According to a police spokesperson, the operation was initiated on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera.

Senior Officers to Supervise Operation

The CPO has directed senior police officials to oversee the enforcement campaign and ensure that action is taken against kite manufacturers, suppliers, sellers and individuals involved in kite flying.

Authorities will also monitor the movement and delivery of kite-flying materials through goods transport services and other distribution channels.

Police said they are following a zero-tolerance approach toward kite flying and aerial firing.

Citizens have been encouraged to discourage such activities and report violations through the police emergency helpline 15.

Two Police Officials Injured in Motorcycle Incident

Separately, two police officials assigned to security duty at the CPO’s residence were injured in a road incident on Sunday.

According to police, Faisal and Asad Mehmood were hit by a speeding motorcycle while performing their duties.

Both officials were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. Police later said that their condition was stable.

Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies and follow safety regulations to help prevent accidents and protect the public.
