The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has canceled the leaves of all operational staff and officers to ensure uninterrupted public services and effective arrangements during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
🚰 Cleaning and Preparations Intensified
According to directives issued by the Managing Director of WASA, all town directors have been instructed to:
- Complete cleaning of sewerage lines along Muharram procession routes
- Inspect all manholes for safety
- Immediately repair any damaged or open manholes
These measures aim to prevent inconvenience and ensure the safety of participants during religious processions.

WASA has announced that its complaint centers and emergency response units will remain operational around the clock throughout Muharram.
Residents will be able to report issues related to:
- Sewerage blockages
- Water supply interruptions
- Infrastructure emergencies
🚨 Monitoring and Field Deployment
To ensure effective coordination, the agency has:
- Appointed focal persons for all towns
- Established a central control room for continuous monitoring
- Deployed water tankers on high alert along procession routes
Additionally, suction machines, jetting units, and water bowsers have been positioned at key locations to respond quickly to emergencies.
