Islamabad Launches Online System for Birth, Marriage and Death Registration

Residents of Islamabad can now register births, marriages, deaths, and divorces online without visiting Union Council offices. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced this facility in collaboration with NADRA and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).

The service is available across all Union Councils in the Islamabad Capital Territory and aims to make public services more accessible and efficient.

Registration Through Pak ID App

Under the new system, citizens can use the Pak ID mobile application to:

  • Register births, marriages, deaths, and divorces
  • Submit required details online
  • Make secure digital payments
  • Receive digitally verified certificates

This eliminates the need for physical visits to government offices.

Objective of the Initiative

According to CDA, the digital registration system is designed to:

  • Improve public service delivery
  • Reduce paperwork and delays
  • Promote digital governance
  • Make civil registration services more convenient for citizens

The initiative is part of broader efforts to modernize administrative services in Islamabad.
