Pakistan Post Issues Guidelines on Social Media Use and Workplace Conduct

Pakistan Post has reminded its employees to follow official guidelines regarding social media use and workplace discipline, while also clarifying reports about the organization’s future operations.

According to a circular issued by the department’s headquarters on June 22, 2026, employees have been advised not to share official information or comment on internal matters through social media platforms without prior authorization. The department stated that all staff members are expected to comply with the relevant civil service conduct rules.

The Directorate General has instructed regional offices and postmaster generals to ensure adherence to these guidelines and to address any violations through established departmental procedures.

The circular also highlighted the importance of workplace discipline, including regular attendance, punctuality, and compliance with administrative procedures. Officials have been directed to monitor these areas and ensure that organizational policies are followed consistently.

In addition, Pakistan Post addressed recent reports regarding privatization and workforce reductions. Director General Maqsood Ahmed said that such reports are inaccurate and do not reflect the department’s current plans.

According to the department, ongoing reforms are focused on improving operational efficiency, strengthening financial performance, and expanding digital services for customers across the country.

Pakistan Post stated that its modernization efforts are aimed at enhancing service delivery while maintaining organizational stability and supporting long-term development goals.
