5G Support Expected on Select iPhones and Samsung Devices in Pakistan

5G services are expected to become available on select iPhone and Samsung smartphones in Pakistan as local telecom operators begin testing and listing compatible devices on their official platforms.

According to updated information shared by major mobile networks, including Zong and Jazz, only selected smartphone models will initially support 5G connectivity in the country.

iPhone 5G Compatibility

At present, 5G support for iPhones is available on Zong’s network, covering models starting from iPhone 12 and newer. Supported devices include:

  • iPhone 12 series
  • iPhone 13 series
  • iPhone 14 series
  • iPhone 15 series
  • iPhone 16 series
  • iPhone SE series

Other telecom operators have not yet fully enabled iPhone 5G support, and further updates are expected as services expand.

Samsung Devices with 5G Support

Zong has also listed a wide range of Samsung smartphones compatible with 5G, including models from the Galaxy S20 series up to newer flagship devices. Several Galaxy A-series and M-series phones are also included in the supported list.

However, compatibility varies depending on device hardware and software capabilities.

Jazz 5G Device List

Jazz has so far included a limited number of Samsung devices for 5G support, such as:

  • Galaxy A55
  • Galaxy A37
  • Galaxy A57
  • Galaxy S26 series (selected models)

The company has indicated that iPhone users may require future carrier settings or software updates to activate 5G services when fully launched.

Ufone 5G Rollout

Ufone has reportedly received approval to introduce 5G services, although an official launch timeline and device compatibility list have not yet been announced.

Outlook

Telecom operators in Pakistan are gradually preparing their networks for wider 5G rollout. However, full nationwide availability will depend on infrastructure upgrades and regulatory approvals in the coming phases.
