Survey Highlights Israeli Public Views on Regional Conflict and Recent US-Iran Agreement

A recent public opinion survey has provided insight into Israeli perceptions of the recent Middle East conflict and the subsequent agreement reached between the United States and Iran.

The survey, conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in collaboration with the Agam Institute between June 17 and June 20, gathered responses from 3,644 participants across Israel.

According to the findings, a large majority of respondents believed Iran benefited more from the conflict and the resulting diplomatic agreement. Many participants also expressed concerns about the long-term security implications of recent regional developments.

The survey further indicated skepticism toward the current government’s assessment of the military campaign. A significant number of respondents said they were not fully convinced by official claims regarding the outcomes of the conflict, while others rated the government’s handling of the situation negatively.

The poll also reflected changing political sentiment, with support levels for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showing a decline compared with earlier surveys conducted this year.

In addition, respondents expressed varied opinions regarding future security policies and potential military action in the region. A notable portion supported maintaining a firm security approach, while others favored diplomatic and political solutions.

Meanwhile, international efforts to strengthen the temporary agreement between the United States and Iran continued, with negotiations aimed at reaching a more comprehensive arrangement reportedly scheduled to take place in Switzerland.

Regional developments remain closely watched as diplomatic discussions continue alongside efforts to maintain stability and reduce tensions across the Middle East.
