Donald Trump to Join FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Trophy Presentation

United States President Donald Trump is expected to take part in the trophy presentation ceremony at the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on July 19, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Speaking during an interview on Fox & Friends, Infantino said he and Trump would attend the final together and present the trophy to the tournament winners.
“We will be together with the president enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner,” Infantino stated.
FIFA has not released any additional comments regarding the announcement.
Trump and Infantino have maintained a visible relationship in recent years. In December, Infantino presented Trump with the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize, a distinction introduced by FIFA.
The US president also participated in the trophy ceremony at the FIFA Club World Cup last year, held at the same stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is being hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament, featuring 48 teams for the first time, will conclude with the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.
Organizers are also planning a halftime entertainment show during the final, adding to the event’s significance as one of the world’s biggest sporting occasions.
