Saudi Arabia Declares Public Holiday for 95th National Day | Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Defense Ties

Riyadh/Islamabad – September 19, 2025

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Manpower and Social Development has announced that the Kingdom will observe a public holiday on Tuesday, 23 September 2025 (1st Rabi al-Thani 1447 AH) in celebration of the 95th National Day.

The holiday will apply across government offices, private companies, and non-profit organizations, allowing citizens and residents to mark the day with pride and unity.

Pakistan–Saudi Defense Partnership

In related developments, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif highlighted the strong defense partnership between the two brotherly nations. Speaking on Thursday, he termed the Pak-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement as a historic milestone, reinforcing decades of cooperation.

“The two brothers will stand shoulder to shoulder against any enemy, united under the shadow of Almighty God,” Asif stated. “Together, they will counter shared threats, and with the unity of the Muslim Ummah, victory is destined.”

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The Strategic Defense Agreement is considered a pivotal step toward enhancing military collaboration, training, and joint defense preparedness between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman also shared details of a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, calling it a reaffirmation of the long-standing friendship and partnership.

A Brotherhood Beyond Borders

With the 95th National Day celebrations ahead and the announcement of this landmark defense pact, both nations are not only marking historic moments but also reinforcing their commitment to regional peace, security, and unity.
