Pakistan Football Federation Announces Plans for New National League
November 6, 2025
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has unveiled plans to launch a new national football league, signaling a major effort to revive and professionalize football in the country.
Call for Partners and Proposals
In an official announcement, the PFF invited organizations and investors to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) and detailed proposals to become partners in the upcoming league.
The deadline for submission has been set for December 6, 2025.
According to the federation, the goal is to create a professional and competitive football ecosystem that provides local players with greater exposure and opportunities while raising the overall standard of the game in Pakistan.
Focus on Sustainable Football Development
The proposed league aims to offer a structured and long-term framework for clubs, athletes, and sponsors, ensuring financial stability and sporting integrity.
Details about the league’s format, structure, and evaluation process for potential partners will be revealed once the proposal period concludes.
Partnerships with FIFA and AFC
Earlier this month, the PFF entered into a collaboration with FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to strengthen Pakistan’s football infrastructure.
This partnership includes several key initiatives:
-
Establishing a national training facility
-
Developing FIFA-funded mini-pitches across multiple cities
-
Launching a youth academy system to promote talent development and professional coaching
Looking Ahead
With international support and renewed local interest, the PFF’s new league could mark a turning point for football in Pakistan, helping nurture young talent and bringing the sport closer to global standards.
