Government Allocates Rs. 3.78 Billion for Four Danish Schools in AJK
ISLAMABAD — The federal government has allocated more than Rs. 3.78 billion for the establishment of four Danish Schools in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) under the Budget 2026–27.
According to official budget documents, the schools will be set up in Bagh, Bhimber, Neelum, and Haveli Kahuta to improve access to quality education in remote and underserved areas of the region.
The allocated funds include Rs. 514.5 million for the Hari Gehal Bagh Danish School, Rs. 600 million for the Bhimber campus, Rs. 1.558 billion for the Sharda Neelum school, and Rs. 1.109 billion for the Haveli Kahuta institution.
Focus on Education Development
Officials said the initiative is aimed at providing modern educational facilities and expanding learning opportunities for students in far-flung areas of AJK.
They added that the project forms part of a broader federal strategy to strengthen the education sector and improve human resource development across the country.
The establishment of Danish Schools is expected to enhance access to quality education, particularly for students from low-income families and remote communities, through improved infrastructure and learning resources.
